In Action

How learning happens inside the classroom and beyond

center

At LOIS, centers rotate small groups through engaging skill-based stations, fostering independence, focus, confidence, and active, meaningful learning with teacher support.

Digital Day

LOIS Digital Days immerse learners twice weekly in technology-based activities, promoting creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, digital literacy, and innovative problem-solving skills.

Co-Curricular

LOIS offers co-curricular experiences including STEAM, athletics, service, subject events, and field trips, building confidence, leadership, real-world connections, and well-rounded learners.

Curriculum

At LOIS, the curriculum is guided by internationally benchmarked standards that build a strong foundation in knowledge, skills, and character. From Kindergarten through Grade 9, we follow the American Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) to ensure academic rigor, progression, and global relevance. Our approach combines explicit instruction with interactive and purposeful learning experiences that promote critical thinking and real-world application. Instruction is differentiated to support varied readiness levels while maintaining high expectations for all. In the upper grades, we provide flexibility to support learners who may explore international certification pathways in the future. Technology and innovation are embedded throughout the learning experience to enrich classroom instruction and prepare learners for an evolving world.

National Identity Subjects

Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Saudi History

At LOIS, we are committed to honoring and promoting the cultural identity of our learners through dedicated instruction in Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Saudi History. We follow the Ministry of Education curriculum, enhanced with modern strategies and rich resources to foster engagement and proficiency—especially in the Arabic language. Instruction focuses on developing reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills, supported by access to leveled Arabic books, digital platforms, and targeted support for non-native speakers. Our goal is to help learners connect with their heritage and community with pride, purpose, and confidence.

Montessori KG Program

At LOIS, our Kindergarten learners benefit from a rich, Montessori-inspired early years program designed for ages 3 to 6. The curriculum focuses on foundational areas including phonics, culture, math, practical life, and Arabic, with each level building age-appropriate knowledge and skills across EC1, EC2, and EC3. Learning is hands-on and minds-on—combining tactile materials, visual tools, and interactive digital resources to foster independence, curiosity, and early academic confidence. The program includes student books, practice materials, game kits, and teacher guides to support varied learning experiences in class and at home. This balanced approach ensures that every child develops socially, emotionally, and cognitively within a nurturing environment rooted in exploration and guided structure.

At our Kindergarten stage, we implement the Mind Buzz curriculum—purposefully crafted to support the developmental milestones of children across five essential subjects: Phonics, Math, Arabic, Culture, and Practical Life.

Through a rotational station model, students engage in meaningful, active learning experiences that cater to diverse learning styles. Each station utilizes Montessori manipulatives, structured hands-on activities, and targeted skill-based games to deepen conceptual understanding and promote independence.

The curriculum is supported by a robust set of resources, including student and practice books, a teacher’s guide, and an interactive, user-friendly digital platform that reinforces classroom learning.

Each classroom is equipped with a comprehensive kit that includes Montessori manipulatives, educational game sets, and instructional card resources to support hands-on, interactive learning.

Assessment

Monitoring Growth Through Balanced Assessment

At Learning Oasis International School, we apply a balanced approach to assessment—combining both domestic and standardized tools to support learner growth and academic excellence.

Our framework includes:

  • Pre- and post-assessments to personalize learning and measure progress.
  • MAP Growth Assessments in English and Math for Grades 4–9, offering globally benchmarked insights.
  • NAFS National Exams, aligned with Ministry of Education standards.

Learners are thoughtfully prepared for MAP and NAFS through targeted instruction and skill-building. After each assessment, results are analyzed to identify learning needs, inform teaching, and implement effective enrichment or intervention plans.

This comprehensive approach ensures every learner is supported, challenged, and empowered to thrive.

Activities and Enrichment

Our dynamic activities program extends beyond the classroom to offer students exciting opportunities for self-expression, creativity, and exploration

  • Field Trips and Fun Trips: Opportunities for experiential learning and recreation to enrich students’ educational and social experiences.
  • Performance Tasks: Engaging activities that encourage critical thinking, teamwork, and skill application in real-world contexts.
  • Got Talent Program: Identifying and nurturing students’ unique abilities to help them shine in their areas of interest.
